USPA NEWS - The principle of politics, politicians and rulers throughout the world has vastly changed since the times of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) Hazrat Ali (RA), Hazrat Uma Farooq (RA) Sultan Salahuddin Ayubi and Qauid-E-Azam Muhammed Ali Jinnah. These immortals, icons and legends ali owed their allegiance to God and their guidance and directions came from the Holy Quran, said Shazada Hayat President UICF (UK) and international community welfare activist. Those great leaders believed and practiced justice and fairness. They challenged and fought to defend the orphans, the weak, the old, the widows and the orphans. They conquered the oppressors, suppressors and the exploiters. Today, sadly politics has changed and so have the politicians and rulers.

These days those seeking high office and power do it predominantly for self-esteem, self-glory and personal gain at the expense of abusing, exploiting and robbing the nation at will. There have been of course some outstanding politicians, but these have been few and far between. Many of the politicians have betrayed Pakistan at the highest order. Pakistan is thankful to its magnificent armed forces who are considered amongst the best in the world and have saved Pakistan from being in dire consequence at the hands of the scrupulous and corrupt politicians. The true potential of the great nation has been hindered and hampered with enormous consequence and set back by the incompetent and corrupt politicians. The irony is throughout history in the colonial years America, Britain and Europe went around the world and took whatever wealth they could lay their hands on, bringing it back to their respected countries to build their nation. Sadly, in Pakistan this has been in the reverse order, it is the Pakistani public who have been robbed and the proceeds taken out of Pakistan and into America, Britain and Europe.

Today America, Britain and Europe do not need to exploit and take the riches of those countries, the politicians of those countries are doing what these colonial countries did during the colonial times. Shazada Hayat continued, In Pakistan in recent times, the formidable Inter- Services Intelligence (ISI), The National Accountability Bureau (NAB), The Federal Investigation Authority (FIA), The Intelligence Bureau (IB) and The Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) have all joined forces to protect and save Pakistan, under the code name "Pakistan First." These combined authorities have decided to go all out to get those who have harmed Pakistan, their motherland. As a result of operation "Pakistan First," which is the biggest accountability operation ever mounted in the history of Pakistan, we have seen many leading politicians, some of whom thought they were above the law and Teflon Dons, were rounded up and told, they are guilty and they must prove they are innocent, just as in the British legal system The UK anti- money laundering Act 2018 and the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.

The Pakistani government and the relevant authority know full well when they go after the leading opposition party leaders, which is predominantly the target, these political leaders will say they are victims of politically motivated charges and get public sympathy and support. It was therefore decided that the serving government has to make a big political sacrifice in order to balance and counter the accusations made by the opposition leaders. Shazada Hayat said, Jahangir Khan Tareeen was chosen and selected to be the sacrificial lamb. Jahangir Tareen was accused of making a false declaration on his election form. This in essence is a red herring in the legal sense as the answers given by the philanthropist were on the advice of the most prolific lawyers in Pakistan. Therefore, when asked on the election form do you have any beneficial interest in a property in UK namely Hyde House London, Jahangir Tareen rightly answered "No", because in the law of trust once you have donated or given away and transferred your property to a third party in trust and you give them the beneficial interest, then you cease to have legal, equitable or beneficial interest in the said property. In the case of Jahangir Tareen, he has handed over the legal, equitable interest and beneficial interest of his family home in trust to his family. Nevertheless, if Jahangir Tareen was guilty of not disclosing full information in the election form, the punishment is draconian and excessive.

Pakistan justice system cannot claim to be fairer and more just than the British legal system, since most of Pakistan's greatest barristers and judges were educated in law in Britain, such as the great Quaid-E-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Sir Dr. Muhammad Iqbal. In Britain Lord Jeffrey Archer was sentenced to four years in prison, yet he is still a British parliamentarian. The world-famous newspaper The Telegraph its owner Lord Conrad Black served a six-year sentence, yet he is still a parliamentarian. Bobby Sands IRA and convicted murderer was sentenced to life in prison, yet he was allowed to contest British parliamentarian elections from his prison cell and he won during Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher's times. Martin McGuiness and Gerry Adams both convicted with very serious charges against them were allowed to contest elections in Britain and both held high political offices. Shazada Hayat went on to say, Then why one wonders has such a harsh sentence of banning Jahangir Tareen for life from taking part in Pakistan elections happened, when he filled in an election form believing that he was giving the right answers, as per the advice of his lawyers. Recently also, accusing Jahangir Tareen in a report of sugar iregularly. This is also a red herring, accusing a man of "chinni chore" (sugar thief). It's absurd how someone can steal the very sugar they own.

If a company believes that they are entitled to a tax rebate or subsidies they are entitled to make the relevant application. It is up to the government's relevant department to check whether the applicant is entitled to the said rebate or subsidy. If they are entitled, they must be paid accordingly. However, if they are not entitled then the application should be refused. The failure therefore is that of the government and not those who genuinely believed and made the relevant application for a tax rebate and /or subsidy. Prior to this election form and this sugar report all within one-year, Jahangir Tareen has a blemish less record.

A man who has worked tirelessly with dedication to achieve phenomenal success, he is one of the biggest tax payers in Pakistan and employs hundreds of thousands of people who earn their living because of his success. Jahangir Tareen has been one of the most instrumental key players in building with Prime Minister Imran Khan, the political party PTI, which successfully got elected and formed the government. Jahangir Tareen has been widely tipped nationally and internationally as the next person who will succeed Imran Khan if and when he steps down as Prime Minister of Pakistan. Various members of the relevant authority, the majority of the people from Pakistan and the overseas Pakistani community as well as Prime Minister Imran Khan know that what Jahangir Tarcen is being made to go through is gross injustice. He is being used as a political martyr, a sacrificial lamb and deflection to bring to justice the top opposition leaders who are being pursued and brought to justice under operation, "Pakistan First." There are those inside the PTI government and those outside who may be finding it a great joy in trying to kick a man when he is down. But they must realise and make no mistake, their betrayal and treachery will be short lived as the true justice will prevail at the appropriate time and venue. There is a great saying, "You cannot keep a good man down". Jahangir Tareen is seen by the people of Pakistan and the overseas Pakistani community as the great son of the Pakistani soil and a paramount asset to his nation who will be back, said Shazada Hayat In Exclusive interview with Aurangzeb A Investigative Journalist @ United State Press Agency.
